The week of May 2nd we will be celebrating Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week and Buffalo Trail Elementary School will be Camp Buffalo Trail in honor of our amazing teachers and staff. Participate as much as you’d like/can and join us in saying THANK YOU! for all the dedicated time and effort our staff has put in this year to make Buffalo Trail Elementary School a great place to learn and grow.

If you or someone you know is a parent of a child who will be attending Kindergarten next year at Buffalo Trail, please consider joining us for the Kindergarten Orientation coming up.

You’ll get a chance to meet the principal, teachers and organization leaders.

Check out this helpful document the Kindergarten teachers put together in preparation for the upcoming school year: ABCKindie.pdf

At Buffalo Trail, we are committed to honoring and recognizing ALL of the different cultures that represent our school. The community enjoys learning about the different customs, food and traditions that we all bring to Buffalo Trail. We would like to continue with the success that we have experienced in the past. We are asking that families in our community sign up to represent their cultural heritage! How can you help? Here are a couple of suggestions!

*Set up a table displaying items unique to your culture (clothing, posters, flags, pictures, etc.)

*Share a dance or a song with the school during the festivities

*Bring a dish that is special to your family to share with the Buffalo Trail community

In order for this night to be a success, we need you to sign up and clearly explain your level of commitment to this event. Feel free to partner with other families in the school community.

Please complete the questionnaire below by May 5th and feel free to send any questions to Mrs. Johnson at ajohnson141@cherrycreekschools.org

PTCO meetings are the best way to stay in the know of all the school’s happenings. It’s also a great way to participate in your child’s education, ask questions and voice concerns. More people means more ideas and more opportunities to make Buffalo Trail an even better learning experience. Please consider joining us at our next meeting.

Buffalo Trail is asking for help from our community. Positions like paid ParaEduactors, Substitutes, and even crossing guards are available.

If you cannot commit to a paid position’s schedule then please consider donating your time when you can as a volunteer.

No amount of help is too small. There is always a way for you to make an impact in our school and the Buffalo Trail community.

Let us know you want to help and your availability!

Remember that additional time is given and considerations are made in the event of inclement weather. Please do not make unsafe or illegal choices in an effort to beat the regularly scheduled tardy bell. We appreciate your efforts to make Buffalo Trail safer before and after school.
