PICTURE DAY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

We need volunteers to help with picture day March 24th.  Please click on this link to sign up!

BUFFALO TRAIL TEACHER APPRECIATION

We all know how hard our teachers work!  We’d like your help in showing them some appreciation.  Each spring, we hold a teacher auction giving teachers a chance to bid on items community businesses and BT parents have donated.  Teachers have been earning “Speidi-cents” (named after our principal Tamara Speidel) by sending PTCO communications, volunteering at PTCO events, and attending PTCO meetings.  They will use these “cents” to bid on the items provided.  This is a fun event that our teachers look forward to each year and a chance for them to see how much we truly appreciate all they do for our children.

We are looking for donation of gift cards in any amount for restaurants, stores, salons, spas, coffee shops, or any store that a teacher might like to shop at.  We will also accept handmade items or services. If you would like to donate, please drop your gift at the main office and let them know it is for the teacher appreciation event.  We need all items to be received by April 26, 2017.

KING SOOPERS CARDS AVAILABLE!!

Pick up your reloadable King Soopers grocery card and help your school year round.  A percentage of your shopping comes back to Buffalo Trail.  It’s simple.  Get your card for $3 (already loaded on your card).  Once at the check out, load your card with any dollar amount you wish.  When you are ready to pay for your groceries just swipe the reloadable gift card and you have just helped your school! Easy! Do this every time you shop!  Even for gas and prescriptions. We have cards available at the BT front office!

PTCO MEETING

Please join us for a PTCO meeting on March 13th at 6:30pm in the library! We will be voting on new PTCO positions for 2017-18.

CHIK-FIL-A ALL DAY!

Come eat at Chik Fil A all day long on March 14th! A portion of the proceeds will go to our school. Please let them know you are supporting Buffalo Trail!

Thank you for supporting our read-a-thon last week!  Donations can still be made until March 17th.

MULTICULTURAL NIGHT

Join us for a night of food, culture, and entertainment. The Buffalo Trail choir will be singing!  March 16th at 6:30pm.

BUFFALO TRAIL READ-A-THON!

We are sponsoring a Read-A-Thon for our students March 6-10th! There will be lots of opportunities for reading this week at school and the best part is that it can help our school to raise money for the things we need! We are raising funds for technology and grants for teachers to use in their classrooms. Friday will be pajama day so please send your child in their comfy pj’s to read!

Registering is easy and only takes a few minutes.  If you haven’t already, go to www.read-a-thon.com/readers/ and log in with your child’s secret code.  (Your teacher can give this code to you if you didn’t receive it in your Thursday folder). After that, it’s up to your child to read! Thank you for your support and participation!

CCSD Boundary Meeting at BTE

Cherry Creek Schools will open a new middle school and a new elementary school on the east side of the district, at the beginning of the 2018-2019 school year.  If your students attend Black Forest Hills, Buffalo Trail, Coyote Hills or Pine Ridge Elementary Schools, you may be affected by potential boundary changes at the middle school and potentially the elementary school levels beginning in the 2018-19 school year.  You’re invited to learn more about potential boundary changes at one of five open house presentations. Facilitators will be available to answer questions and you will have an opportunity to provide input via a short survey.

March  8th at Buffalo Trail Elementary

Stop by any time between 6:30 p.m. and  8:30 p.m. (open house format). The process shouldn’t take more than 25-30 minutes.

CCSD FOUNDATION GALA

Tickets are now available for the Cherry Creek Schools Foundation Gala.  Funds raised are used for CCSD teacher grants and scholarships for CCSD students.  This is a fun opportunity to dress up and enjoy a night out to benefit our schools. LAST CHANCE FOR SPECIAL MESSAGES

Attn: 5th grade parents

As your 5th grader heads into the completion of their time at Buffalo Trail, we have the opportunity for families to leave a special message for them in the yearbook. This spot can hold a baby photo or other special picture, in addition to a message from you to your 5th grader. Space is limited to fit only one photo and 2-3 sentences MAX. For only $5.00, your picture and message will be a nice memento for years to come.

Price: $5.00                 Due Date: FRIDAY, MARCH 10TH, 2017

Please email your picture and message to yearbook@btptco.org. Digital photos are preferred. If the picture is an original, be aware that the quality may not be as good. We will return any originals to you. Please make sure to include your child’s name on anything you send us.

You may pay by cash or check, and drop it off at the front office. Please do so as soon as possible after your email. WE CAN NOT ACCEPT ANY LATE SUBMISSIONS, SO PLEASE PLAN ACCORDINGLY.
