News From the Herd--December 7th, 2015

EARNING FOR LEARNING UPDATE
We are still collecting receipts from retailers at Southlands to earn points for our school. You can holiday shop and help our school at the same time! Receipts for photos with Santa, ice skating, and Southlands gift cards also get BT 1,000 points. Just send your receipts to school. We are holding a E4L contest between Dec.17-Jan.15th. The classroom that turns in the most receipts will win a Best Buy gift card for their classroom!
NOTHING BUNDT CAKES FUNDRAISER
Buffalo Trail is partnering with Nothing Bundt Cakes in Southlands for a fundraiser! If you order a cake between December 7th-11th and mention you are from Buffalo Trail, they will donate a portion of the proceeds to our school.  You can also order during that time and pick up later to get our school credit for the sale.  Bundt cakes make great holiday party desserts or gifts!

BOX TOPS DRIVE
Please send in your box tops between December 7th-18th.  The class who sends in the most will receive a $50 gift card to Barnes and Noble for their teacher’s use in their classroom!! These box tops come on items that you probably already buy, just cut them out and send them to school!
BARNES AND NOBLE
/McALLISTER’S NIGHT
December 17th will be our Barnes and Noble and McAllister’s Deli night at Southlands.  The choir will be caroling and teachers will be reading at Barnes and Noble. Both businesses will donate a portion of sales to our school. Come do some holiday shopping, eat, and support our school!
YEARBOOK UPDATE!
The yearbook committee wants your photos! If you took pictures at a field trip, the BT fun run, fall festival or other school functions, please send them to yearbook@btptco.org.  The yearbook will be holding an art contest December 17th-January 8th.  Please see your child’s Thursday folder for more details!
